When i picked this book first, i was under the impression that..here is another compilation of religious affirmations and incantations in a new form with a new bound package!But i was soooo wrong!!!This book took me to a different level altogether,to a more broader concept and even a different thinking level about human existance!!!The author describes his own life from his childhood and takes us through a vast and colourful,even sorrowful experiences to his last breath in an elaborate and easy way!!!!

The people he met,the background from which he was brought up,and the comparison of the attitudes or may be the differences in the attitudes of the Orient and Occident!!Now this part struk me most since we are living in a place where there is a mixture of different culture!!This,i felt like watching earth from the atmosphere or somewhere from a different galaxy!when you come out of your place ,stay far and then watch the place,you will have a different outlook altogether about the place!

I was amazed to read about the life of the Therese Newman of Bavaria!!From a far away farm in Germany,a small parish, she became the solace of thousands of people and even now so many people look up to her for her guidance!!And the most important thing about her was that she started to heal others by literally taking up their sickness to herself!What a noble,and broad mental attitude!!This even reminded me of the ancient Indian quote "Loka samastha sukhino bhavanthu!!"Let the world be well!!!!

lessons you learn from children are amazing!!!!!The other day,in school, as annual exams are closing in...we teachers are always on our toes to complete pending lessons,prepare question papers,model examination papers,revision work sheets,marking schemes...oh...just endless activities.....

I entered the class and all were busy as usual,discussing their pE(games)period activities!!it was very obvious that they had no intention of taking a test!!!I decide to postpone the test but as a last try..i asked the class...Is there anyone at all here who is prepared to take a test???One little hand shot up!!Yes Ma'am...i am ready!I was actually surprised!it is not unnatural that many students learn and get ready for tests  but this was too much to be true because the lesson was half way through!!!Curiosity took over...i called him to my table and whispered!Yash!!!how come you are ready now only???We didnt even finish the lesson!!!The answer came immediately...i know Ma'am..but my parents lock me up inside the room and am allowed to come out only when i study the lesson byheart even if it is not completed!!!he added again..they feel that since i managed to get first rank in the last two years and even in the first semester...i should continue to perform the same way ...even if i dont want to!!!They feel that then the money they spent on me is worth as school fees!!!As a parent myself..i was aghast!!!!Where exactly is this kind of education leading us???Admit that at times there is competition around..but not up to this level so that ...childhood is denied to all 10-12 year olds!!!!When are the going to play football or discuss the latest action movies or Karate classes or camping or trekking???

The trend is dangerous!!!!hey you children out there!!!!I dont envy you guys!!

When i ponder over Khalil Jibrans works...i envy him!!!really mirrors of soul!!!when i read Frederick forsyth i want to be an espinage specialist!!!!then i pick up an M.T.vasudevan nair...there goes my...thoughts to my own place and i become a typical nair girl...Being a very enthusiastic attorney at law...now thats my latest wish...ofcos after reading John Grisham...

   If you think that,its done...you are so..mistaken...I want to be the diciple of param hansa yoganandaji..whenever i pick up that book called autobiography of a yogi!!!And  i want to wander in the beautiful valleys of the Himalayas...courtesy..sri.M.P. Veerendrakumar, in Haimavatha bhoovil...

I dont know whether i am the only one who is very easily inflluenced by what i read!!!(i might as well choose carefully!!!Yes???)but books have this amazing capacity to monoplise my mind and thought process atleast for a short time!I think thats the pure purpose of the writer and if the reader's attention is captured ..thats it!!!you have done well my dear writer!!!

If you ask me to choose my favourite book...then sorry to disappoint...cant really choose!!Its like asking to choose from a collection of blackforest,plum,vanilla or chocolate cake!!!!literally impossible!!!

എനിക്ക് ഈ ദുബായ് നഗരത്തെ ഇഷ്ടമാണ്!!നാഗരികതയുടെ പുതിയ മുഖം ആയതുകൊണ്ടല്ല ട്ടോ..ഇവിടെ എന്തൊക്കെ തരം ആളുകള്...ഭാഷകള്...വേഷങ്ങള്...രൂപങ്ങള്...മേക്കപ്പുകള് മുടിപരിഷ്കാരങ്ങള്...ആടയാഭരണങ്ങള്...പലതരം ചെരുപ്പുകള്,അങ്ങനെ ലോകത്തിലെ പല ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നുള്ള മനുഷ്യരും അവരുടെ സംസ്ക്കാരങ്ങളും ജീവിത രീതികളും... ഇതു ഒരു കൊച്ചു ഭുമി...ഒരു മിനിയേച്ചര് ഭുലോകമ്!!തങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒന്നു ചെറുതായി കറങ്ങണം അല്ലെങ്ങില് ലോകത്തിന്റെ ഈതെങ്ങിലും ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് സന്ച്ചരിക്കണം എന്ന് തോന്നിയാല് വരു...അധിക ദൂരം പോകാതെ നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് എല്ലാം ഇവിടെ തന്നെ കാണാം!! ദേരയിലെ സിറ്റി സെന്റര് ആണ് ഈറ്റവും പറ്റിയ സ്ഥലം!!!ഇവിടെ നോക്കു..... ഇതാ..ആഫ്രിക്കയുടെ ഒരു കൊച്ചു പതിപ്പ് ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു...ഒരു ബഹളം കൂട്ടി സംസാരിക്കുന്ന കറുത്ത് മിനുത്ത തൊലിയുള്ള ഒരു അച്ഛനും അമ്മയും നാലു കുട്ടിഇകളും..അച്ഛനെ നോക്കുമ്പോള് മുഖത്ത്...അതേയ് ഞാന് തന്നെയാണ് എല്ലാം നോക്കി നടത്തുന്നത് എന്ന ഭാവം!!!ആരെങ്ങിലും ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നു എന്നത് കൊണ്ടു മാത്രം കുട്ടികളോട് ഇവിടെ വാടാ..,നോക്കി നടക്കു..എന്നൊക്കെ പറയുന്ന മട്ടിലുള്ള ചില ശബ്ദങ്ങള്,അവരുടെ ഭാഷയില് പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം!ഇനി നമ്മള്ക്ക് അവരുടെ അമ്മയെ നോക്കാം..എത്ര തന്നെ തടി വച്ചാലും..യാതൊരു പ്രശ്നവും ഇല്ലാതെ വീണ്ടും വളരെ നന്നായി ഫുഡ് ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്ന ഈ ആഫ്രിക്കന് അമ്മമാരേ എല്ലാര്ക്കും ഇഷ്ടമാവും!!അവര് വളരെ ഫ്രിണ്ടലി ആണ് എല്ലാവരുമായി ഇടപഴകുമ്പോള് ...ഈ ദേഹപ്രകൃതി കൊണ്ടു തന്നെ അവര്ക്കു വസ്ത്രധാരണം ഒരു പ്രശ്നമാനത്രേ!ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ഡബിള് എക്സ് ലാര്ജ് സൈസ് പോലും പാകമാവാതെ വരുന്നു അവര്ക്കു!പക്ഷെ അത് ഒരു സീരിയസ് കാര്യമല്ല അവര്ക്കു...അവര് വളരെ ഹാപ്പിയും ആണ്,അതുകൊണ്ട് കിട്ടിയതും ഏറ്റവും വര്നപ്പൂക്കളോട് കൂടിയതുമായ വസ്ത്രങ്ങള് അവരുടെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടതാണ്!!!കൂട്ടത്തില്..പലതരം കല്ല് മാലകളും വളകളും വലിയ കമ്മലുകളും.. എനിക്ക് ടോന്നുന്നടു അവര്ക്കു ചെറിയ മാലകളും മറ്റും ഇട്ടിട്ടു പ്രയോജനമില്ല്യ എന്നാണ്..കാരണം അവ പ്രകടമായി കാനുകയില്ല്യ എന്ന് തന്നെ..അത്ര വിശാലമായ ശരീരവും...മനസ്സും.. അതിസയോക്തിയില്ലാതെ പറയട്ടെ ..എന്റെ അയല്ക്കാരിയും സുഹൃത്തുമായ സുടാനിക്കാരി...പേരു സുസാന് അബ്ദുള്ള ...അവള് അഞ്ചു ഗല്ലോന് വെള്ളപാത്രം രണ്ടെണ്ണം പൊക്കി കൊണ്ടു വരുന്നതു കണ്ടു ഞാന് പേടിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്!!ചോദിച്ചപ്പോള് പറഞ്ഞതു..നിനക്കു..ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കാന് അറിയില്ല്യ എന്നാണ്!!! പക്ഷെ എനിക്ക് അവളെ ഇഷ്ടമാണ്..അവള്ക്ക് ഹിന്ദിയോ മലയാളമോ അറിയില്ല.എന്നാലും അവള് എന്നും എന്നോട് സംസാരിക്കും..അറബിയില്..(ഇംഗ്ലീഷും അറിയില്ല)എന്റെ മുഖത്ത് വിരിയുന്ന ഭാവത്തിനനുസരിച്ച് ആണ്ഗ്യഭാഷയും..ചിലപ്പോള് തക്കാളിയോ വെളുതുല്ലിയോ മറ്റോ തീര്ന്നു പോയാല്..ഓടിവരും..അറബിവാക് പറയും.. എനിക്ക് മനസ്സിലവില്യ..തിരിച്ചുപോയി മറ്റൊരു കൊച്ചു തക്കാളിയോ വെളുത്തുള്ളി അല്ലിയോ കൊണ്ടുവരും..കാണിക്കാന്..എന്നിട്ട് ചോദിക്കും..താ ഞാന് വാങ്ങീട്ടു തിരിച്ചു തരം എന്ന് പറയും... അവളാണ് എന്റെ ആഫ്രിക്കന് ഫ്രെണ്ട് !!അതുപോലെയാണ് മൊത്തത്തില് ആ രാജ്യത്തിലെ ആളുകള് എന്ന് ഞാന് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു!!! .....
